    Strawberry Papaya Smoothie Bowl

    Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

Well, I’ve finally eaten my weight in ice cream!

So then I made this smoothie bowl.

Because, sometimes my body says, “Go for it Bita, eat that ice cream.” And other times it says, “Excuse you, I didn’t tell you to eat ALL the ice cream. What were you thinking? That’s it, you’ve had enough.”

I love my ice cream, and sometimes I overindulge, but I’m totally okay with that because I always balance it out with a varied diet of fruits, veg, and all the other good stuff. So in the end, I have my cake and eat it too. I hate that we live in a society that teaches us to hold back on calories and fat. If I listened to society, I’d be a very unhealthy, angry, hungry person that never felt good enough about myself.

It’s hard to find the right path to health these days with all the diet fads shoved down our throats and sugar-free, fat-free sticks we’re supposed to eat so that we end up looking like one. We are what we eat, right?

Wouldn’t it be better and healthier if we just tuned in to our bodies and ate wholesome food without excluding fats, fearing sugars, and banning food groups? We’d naturally be well-nourished and happier.

And as a result, we can eat our ice cream! And then this smoothie bowl. 🙂

Ok! I think it’s time to tell you about this smoothie bowl. The combo of the strawberry and papaya is to die for. You could also add a banana in the blender for a little more richness if you like. You could make this smoothie bowl a million different ways, but I just thought I’d show you some options for toppings. I absolutely love hemp seeds and raw sunflower seeds. They’re so healthy and amazing, great for fighting inflammation and just plain good for you.

Try it out and get those vitamins in the natural way. 🙂
