Ingredients

Apple Mixture

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • ½ tablespoon fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 5 cups granny-smith apples peeled and sliced into thin slices (⅛ inch-thick)

Crispy Crumbly Top

  • ½ cup flour
  • ½ cup steal cut or rolled oats (I prefer the texture of Coach's Oats)
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup butter melted
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

Apple Mixture:

  • Place sliced apples in a 9x9-inch baking dish.
  • Combine brown sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, lemon juice, ¼ teaspoon salt, and water in a small bowl. Set aside.

Crispy Crumbly Top:

  • Combine ½ cup flour, ½ cup oats, ½ cup sugar, ½ cup melted butter, ¼ teaspoon sea salt, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon in a medium-sized mixing bowl.

Put it all together and bake:

  • Pour sauce all over apples and mix to combine.
  • Top with the crispy crumbly topping mixture.
  • Bake for 37 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
